Possibility of moving to Williamsburg

We are considering moving to Williamsburg (Ford%26#39;s Colony)for an early retirement. We need a place to stay while we come down to check it out. I understand there is a Marriott property there. What would anyone suggest for prospective residents? Is that a good property?

Also, nothing beats the words of locals! What%26#39;s it really like to live there? Tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly (if there is any!)

Possibility of moving to Williamsburg

Well, its growing.

Its going to depend on what you like.

Do you like a mixture of ages and incomes? Of the 3 gated communities Ford%26#39;s Colony is less homogenous than Two Rivers but more so than Kingsmill.

Do you play tennis or golf? None of the other communities can come close to Kingsmill%26#39;s tennis program but FC does have nice golf courses.

We have a good range of restaurants and food stores. Other shopping isn%26#39;t great. The college offers intellectual stimulation.

Art movies at the Kimball. Anything else that you are looking for?
