I hope the topic has narrowed it down. I have looked at some of the other posts on this site and have checked out these places per suggestions: Courtyard North, Turtle Cay, VB Resort. In a nutshell, I%26#39;m looking for accomodations, moderately priced, with kitchen-type situation, right on the beach, for family with three kids agea 4-10. Any other suggestions aside from those I already checked out? We are traveling in June and will probably stay a week, or a day or two less than that depending on whether we add a side trip or two. Thanks, love this site. It has always been very helpful.

I would still definitely include Turtle Cay, although it%26#39;s not right ';on'; the beach. It is just across the street. You just cross the street on the corner and walk to one of the small boardwalk stages where there is music every summer night. Right beside Turtle Cay is a handy spot for ice cream or subs. Across another way are other places to eat including Black Angus. The opposite direction has Waterman%26#39;s and the Rudee Inlet restaurants and boating/fishing/sightseeing activities.
Directly across the street on the boardwalk is the Ramada on the Beach hotel and on the first floor is the famous Mahi Mah%26#39;s restaurant. They have great lunch specials and we always like sitting in the outdoor section looking out at the boardwalk goings-on, the parasailers and ships. We like entering right from the boardwalk in covered up dry swimsuits but sometimes they direct you to go around via the lobby entrance.
We have long long admired the Caribbean look of Turtle Cay and the beautifully cared for landscaping. We have often intended to stay there but have not had the occasion yet. Just a variety of reasons, timing, not needing the kitchen or several rooms, etc. But it%26#39;s still on our list and I have to say every single family we have met on the beach that stays there raves about it; they absolutely love it.

I would drop the VB Resort and Conference Center because it%26#39;s away from the tourist area / boardwalk area. Your choices are good ones, but if you%26#39;re looking for more to consider you might check Four Sails, Boardwalk Hotel %26amp; Villas, and Residence Inn by Marriott. These seem to get good reviews too.
I hope that Turtle Cay is better ';in person'; than by email. Just last week I had to call the manager%26#39;s office and ask them to answer my email- I reminded them that this had occured in Dec 07. My email was in response to an email ad they sent me!!
I%26#39;m also planning a vacation with 3 kids. I%26#39;m going to call the Turtle Cay directly because using the on-line booking tool it forcing me to take a second room cause of my 3rd kid (max 4 by room). If thats the case, this is to expensive.
Yes, Turtle Cay can be that much better a deal for how nice it looks and the size accommodations it provides because it is across the street instead of right %26#39;on%26#39; the beach. And, yet, in that quieter southern part it all feels very close together and not separated by tons of people or traffic.
Yes, do call. I remember your situation Felschurch. And you were much happier and they were much nicer once you talked with them in person. Yes, even in the off season there should be a better system, or at some system, not an inappropriate email or online response. Many places are very seasonal....although Turtle Cay does have a fireplace. And definitely the staffing is way short in lots of places during the winter when the students return to school and the foreign J1%26#39;s return to school or their countries. Those groups are big big essential parts of the workings of the beach area. It%26#39;s worth it to try to work with their parameters. All the best.
Well the reservations are made at the Turtle Cay. Wanted the two bedrooms!
I forget when you%26#39;re going, Felschurch. Let us know how it works out. I was disappointed that Krisy Kreme is no longer in the sub-Haagen Daz shop on the corner. Ah well.
It%26#39;s a mid-May trip.
Once again I must say how delightful the TC staff is on the phone.
BTW-I could not get my Sat night there yet--on waiting list
