Lodging in Norfolk

We are flying in to Norfolk, VA. We need lodging for one night. I was looking at the Best Western Inn on Northhampton Rd. or America%26#39;s Best Value on Military Highway. Any suggestions on which one is nicer or in a better area? Any suggestions of other inexpensive lodging would be appreciated.

From the information in your post, I assume you want to stay near the airport. I am not familiar with a Best Western Inn on Northampton, however the America%26#39;s Best Value on Military Hwy used to be a Best Western so maybe there is some confusion. I looked at some of the reviews for Americas Best Value and they look good (actually when it was a BW the reviews were not good, then very good under ABV), personally I don%26#39;t care for the location, a bit seedy, and I would likely avoid it for that reason, but lots of people thought it was great. There is a Sleep inn Lake Wright (which is connected to a Quality Inn lake Wright) on Northampton, good location, don%26#39;t know first hand about the rooms but motel was built w/in last few years. There is also a Hampton Inn Airport, good location and probably OK and a Ramada Airport, good location but reviews don%26#39;t look so good. These are some you might want to check out.

Thanks, Goneagain2, for the information. Seedy areas are a concern.

The Best Western Inn is actually on Northampton, Virginia Beach, VA.

The Best Western Inn Northampton Blvd is less than a mile past the Sleep Inn Lake Wright...sorry I%26#39;d was thinking more in the Norfolk direction than Va Beach (the city boundry line is in that area). The BW looks OK, if you are interested I would go by the reviews, I don%26#39;t know anything good or bad. It is located close to a very busy road (trucks) so you might want a room away from the street. Good luck.
