Boardwalk

What streets does the boardwalk begin %26amp; end on? I am planning a trip over Labor Day weekend to run the Virginia Beach Rock N Roll half marathon. I would like to find a condo along the boardwalk but close to the finish line of the race, which I believe is 5th street.

I am having a hard time finding a boardwalk map that I can judge locations.

The boardwalk runs from about 3rd-5th St in the south to about 40th St north. To help understand the oceanfront area, click on ';know before you go'; in the column to the left, then look for ';getting around';, that article explains the area so you will know which hotels are located on the oceanfront/boardwalk. Have a good 1/2.

But if you%26#39;re trying to locate particular properties, it helps to know that numbered streets are perpendicular to Atlantic. So a condo with an address like 650 Atlantic will be between 6th St and 7th St.

Their site map is pretty good with the route, a legend for band sites, water stations, mile markers. You can click on it and blow it up about third a screen. Print it and enlarge it on a copy machine....OH just noticed you can download a printable version, even better. It%26#39;s on their course info page.

You can also get a map of the %26#39;resort area%26#39; at Sunny Days...also trolley map and even a specific map for VB%26#39;s south end: sunnydayguide.com/virginia_beach/vb_maps.php

You could look for places in the 200,300 400,500, 600,700 blocks...even the new Springhill Suites is not far...I believe the 900 block. One block seems to pass quickly into another when you%26#39;re walking on the boardwalk.
