SpringHill Suites

I was wondering if someone could tell me how near to the Park%26amp;Ride at 12530 Sunrise Valley Dr are the SpringHill Suites in Herndon,is it walkable ?

SpringHill Suites

I suppose it could be walkable. It%26#39;s a little over a mile away. So about 15-25 minutes depending on your pace. If you look at the map, you%26#39;ll see you need to take Spring St. to 7100 South, go down a bit and turn on Sunrise Valley.

However, 7100 is a 6 lane highway at this section and only has a walk/bike path on the east side. When on Spring St. I would go under 7100 (it%26#39;s an overpass with exits and on-ramps vs. a normal intersection) and come up onto the road on the east side path for safer walking. There%26#39;s a regular traffic light at the 7100 %26amp; Sunrise Valley intersection. You should be fine crossing it.

There is a bus that stops at Spring %26amp; Herndon Pkwy and will take you to the park %26amp; ride, but the route is weird and circuitous and has limited hours. You%26#39;d be better off walking unless it%26#39;s a blizzard outside (not likely so far this winter). If you%26#39;re interested in that, it%26#39;s the 922 route. The timetable can be found here:

Sigh, let%26#39;s see if I fixed my code:

Nope. Oh well. You get the idea.

Actually, I would say don%26#39;t ever attempt to walk along the Fairfax County Parkway--way too dangerous. If you really want to walk--go up Herndon Parkway to Monroe Street. However, you will then be faced with walking across the bridge that goes over the Toll Road/Access Road. I%26#39;m not sure if they have sidewalks on the bring (never paid attention). The bus, I agree, is your best option or you could call a taxi. However, taxi service around these parts isn%26#39;t very reliable. Will you have a car? If so, you could park there. Just note that the lot fills up by 7:45 a.m. in large part due to the fact that the garage is undergoing repairs and 300 spots are out of commission.

Thanks for the info, would the P%26amp;R lot still fill up early on the week-end?

You%26#39;re welcome. You should have no trouble finding a spot at the Park and Ride lot on the weekend.
