Virginia Beach, reunion

Hi,

I am thinking of planning a family reunion at Virginia Beach.

I live in SC, and have family in the norheast, so V.B. seems like a good central location.

I would want it to be oceanfront, preferably a house - in a good location - maybe within walking distance of restaurants, but that is not even necessary. Just want it to be clean, family-friendly, and affordable!!

We would need 10+ bedrooms, and would split the cost, with those who can - any ideas on how to make that work?

Thanks for any help. Off season ideas are welcome.

In VB, there are a couple of areas for oceanfront houses. The North End of VB is just north (some w/in walking distance others not) of the tourist area (plenty shops, restaurants, hotels, boardwalk, etc) and made up of residences. Check www.vrbo.com to see what might be available and interests you. The other area is Sandbridge which is about 20-30 min from the tourist area. VRBO will also show those homes and Sandbridge has several realtors you can try (call or web sites), two I can think of are Sandbridge realty and Siebert realty. I%26#39;m sure off season would be help rental costs and most hotels in the tourist area have significant discounts during off season so possibly consider oceanfront/boardwalk hotels rooms if you plan the reunion outside of summer months. Good Luck.

thanks for your help.

I have looked at vrbo for Sandbridge area, but not North End? I will try that also.

Atkinson Realty handles a lot of North End rentals. You might also try a1vacations.com (it%26#39;s like VRBO). (That%26#39;s a one, not an ';L.';)

Most houses are not in walking distance of the restaurants.
