Embassy Suites or Hilton Garden Inn for block of rooms?

I%26#39;m trying to pick a date to have a service for my recently deceased husband at Arlington (at the columbarium).

I still (we) have lived in FL since 1995, but my deceased husband grew up in Hagerstown, MD and has friends and relatives there.

I was thinking either 4 or 11 April (fridays) to try to be there for the cherry blossom, since I%26#39;ll have to fly up the night before from FL.

So, my question is which hotel would be better to try to get a good rate for a block on rooms for family and friends to come and stay the night before the ceremony takes place, as I won%26#39;t even have a time until I pick the date.

I also have to arrange for a dove release for the end of the ceremony....

I think your best bet would be to call each hotel directly, explain your situation and ask them what kind of rate they can give you. I%26#39;m sure that each property will do their best to accomodate you.
