I am looking for a hotel that is:
1) clean
2) can accomodate up to 6 people
3) prefer one with a kitchenette (at least micro/fridge)
4) has pool (indoor or outdoor)
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
So far I am looking at Springhill Suites and Fairfield Inn

Sorry this went through twice.
VA Beach Help with hotel
Springhill or Fairfield would be nice options. Springhill is newer if that helps. And at least they have the separate areas.
Also look into the Courtyard Oceanfront North.
As for accommodating 6 people with kitchenette...you might look at Turtle Cay%26#39;s units.
Springhill suites are newer and we loved it and enjoyed the location. We had a one bedroom with the bedroom separated from the living/dining room/kitchenette. There was one nice bathroom with a couple of ways to access it so that the people in the bedroom could potentially access through another door and have privacy from the people in the living room...although both would use the same bathroom. Don%26#39;t know if they have two bedroom suites for more room. There is a lot of room so I guess two more, say children, would be an okay fit. BUT don%26#39;t know if they have any occupancy restrictions. Springhill Suites%26#39; kitchen was beautiful...granite, glass, etc. and was along one wall.
Turtle Cay, while we haven%26#39;t been there, but it may be next on our list, we have admired from outside for many years but always wound up on the oceanfront. Evryone we have personally met on the beach who was staying there has raved about the whole experience. We just haven%26#39;t had a slightly larger group that wanted to all be in one unit yet. For such a group this could be a good one. Their kitchen is full with barstools, countertop, etc. just like in any apt. They have units with two actual separate bedrooms. http://www.turtlecayresort.com/
Two bedroom units have an extra bathroom and kitchenette in one of the bedrooms. At least some have fireplaces...don%26#39;t know if you%26#39;ll need that when you%26#39;re coming.
We%26#39;ve had lots of group situations at lots of beaches and I know some people think one bathroom is enough...but when you think of waiting through shower after shower after shower in order to go to dinner or just get to the boardwalk for more activities and perhaps having non-family in the group which might bring up a privacy issue...that second bathroom can be handy.
I do have to say, as much as we enjoyed the Springhill Suites and had no problem with them, and they even havbe a pool in the sun....I am wondering about construction on the projected hotel next to the pool. No one seems to know when it might begin. However, if the pool is not an issue...because there is an indoor pool on the other side...there should be no problem. The hotel rooms are on the right of the attached condos, the pool on the left of them, so the condos and pool should block a lot of noise. At Springhill Suites on the second flor I think it is, you can get a suite with a private enormous deck but we opted for the slightly higher floor separate bedroom suite for what we felt was more of the view we like.
I second Turtle Cay. I had a recent event and went to many of the hotels at the beach and picked this one. It is not directly on the beach, but all you have to do is cross the street. This is at the quieter end of the strip, about 7 blocks from the middle of everything. We were very pleased with the accomodations. I believe it meets all of your criteria. Also, many have fireplaces (maybe not a summer interest) and furnishings are more up to date than many of the other beach hotels.
