I just google mapped 600 Atlantic Ave VB and they placed the Turtle Cay Resort on the FAR north end of Atlantic Ave. Scared the daylights out of me!! I am planning a South Beach vacation for a 5yr old and don%26#39;t want to be too far from the action. Dave

On Yahoo maps, you%26#39;re given a choice of zipcodes. One zipcode is correct. The other zipcode puts the hotel at the Chesapeake Bay as you experienced. I have no idea how there could be a 600 Atlantic at both ends. I%26#39;m guessing the number really means nothing, but the road itself exists in multiple zipcodes.

It is indeed one of those google map things that means nothing. It%26#39;s one of their %26#39;general%26#39; %26#39;kind of about around here%26#39; arrows. You%26#39;d think they%26#39;d get Virgia Beach better since it%26#39;s such a popular place. And that a disclaimer would be provided.

I googled 600 S.Atlanitc Ave just for fun but their marker is down in Croatan area then.

Mapquest has their marker correct.

When you google Turtle Cay Virginia Beach the marker is correct on the little map window too.

No, you%26#39;ll have plenty of action for a five year old. You checked the ';Family Travel'; stuff for VB, right?

And you%26#39;ve got one of the several small stages across the street from you on the Boardwalk. I think it%26#39;s the other side of that hotel...the Ramada on the Beach...where there is a giant metal sculpture of a turtle that kids love to climb on and get pictures on.

Turtle Cay is sort of attached on one little corner to a handy Blimpies-Haagen Daz store and across the street in the Ramada is a good breakfast, terrific lunch specials sitting outdoors on the back along the boardwalk, and more upscale prices for supper if you want. There%26#39;s lots of little places to eat nearby.

Do you have your generally restaurants picked out? And coupons already from Sunny Days Guide?

There is also a little souvenir/quik stop kind of place for milk and cookies and cereal, etc. as well as pretty picture frames, swimsuits, sun lotion...all the last minute things you might like in a hurry. It%26#39;s David%26#39;s Beach Shop at 702 Atlantic.

For low cost beach gear there are several Sunsations stores nearby. Anything we don%26#39;t want to haul home that is still good we offer to new arrivals.

The Sunny day guide still has 07 or 4/08 coupons so I%26#39;ll wait on them. I copied the maps. We are right on the cusp of weekday pirate ships so we will check that out when we arrive. Thanks for the heads up on the stores--we are coming by train to Va so we wont haul much. Dave
