I planned to stay at the Peaks of Otter Lodge 2/08 but didn%26#39;t due to incoming bad weather (did some hiking). I checked the Lodge reviews before leaving and many indicated no cellphone reception, an issue for some people because they have no room phones. For anyone interested....I was in the Lodge lobby, Visitors Center area %26amp; hiking and my Verizon cell had service whenever I checked (maybe 3 times). I don%26#39;t know if coverage is 100%, probably isn%26#39;t. Maybe a new tower has been put in recently. My fellow hiker had a Tracfone and had no service while there. Happy trails.

I%26#39;m no cell expert, but it seems that Verizon is just better that way. When my husband%26#39;s employer had Verizon, we had service all the time with his work cell phone. Now that he has Sprint, it%26#39;s hit and miss - lots of ';miss.';
