Already planning first trip to Williamsburg!

I have read your fine forum for weeks and I keep getting great tips! I have 6 people (3 adults 3 kids 12, 7, 4) for our first visit end of June, 2008. After much internal debate amd reading this forum, I switched from Kingsmill to Great Wolf Lodge, which seems like so much more fun for the kids. My wfe will like the spa and workout facilities, so it works for us too.

We plan on one day at Busch Gardens, at least one for CW...and that is the question. Can you really pack in all the sites on the 7-4-1 flex ticket from http://www.gowilliamsburg.com (thank you for that tip)(excluding Busch and the Water park) in one day, or is that too much to ask? I don%26#39;t need a beach day, as we head to the lake right after Williamsburg. Maybe two days for all those sites? I know the kids will want to play at the resort too. Even I am excited!

Would love to know if I am trying to do too much from a planning/driving /location perspective.

Since it will be June I%26#39;d encourage you to reconsider Kingsmill - so much more for outside activities - absolutely beautiful, closer to all attractions, free shuttle. Great wolf is a nice winter alternative - it is located 15-20 minutes away on street with not much else - you need to drive everywhere.

In Kingsmill you can walk to all of the following: beach, marina, spa, gameroom, indoor basketball %26amp; volleyball, multiple pools, par 3 golf-kids can play, golf, tennis, playgrounds, bike rentals, walking paths, ponds, restaurants, etc. The kids can split from aprents if you allow - safe and secure - at great wolf nothing other than the great wolf.

Kingsmill offers free shuttle to BG and WC, so groups can go as they please - no driving or parking.

I do think GW is a good chocie for kids in winter - in summer Kingsmill has much more to offer, especially for a nice relaxing trip.

OKay...that is why you post these things...to get input you might not already have. Even if I switch back, what is the chance of seeing all the sites on that 7-4-1 ticket, minus the these parks in a day?

You really need a minimum of four days - one at CW, one at BG, one for both Yorktown sites, one for both Jamestown sites. With the flex ticket, you could add the waterpark to one (or more) of the other days, by doing mornings at the historic sites, afternoon at the waterpark, or some other combination like that. But you definitely can not do it all in a day.
