Does anyone know where in Abingdon VA or near by where I can pay to go on a trail ride with my fiancee and the horse and trail are provided.

Wow, I grew up not far from Kingsport, and I would have expected there to be more places to go horseback riding in the area that weren%26#39;t ';BYOH';.

I came up with two:

Warriors%26#39; Path

and Dogwood Springs Ranch out in Butler

There used to be a place near Ewing, VA that rented them without guides and you could go up on a steep ridge to a huge cave, a cliff-face and an old settlement. I can%26#39;t even find a phone number for it, so I guess it%26#39;s closed down.

There were also some down in Gatlinburg if you ever want to make a weekend of it.

I know horses are allowed on the Virginia Creeper Trail. However, I don%26#39;t know where you can rent a horse. You might check some of the bike rental shops because they might know someone.
