I have a large extended family and we are interested in vacationing at Virginia Beach this summer. We definately want a beach home with a pool and oceanfront. We are moderate spenders. Do you have any suggestions? I have only found one home ';Clearwater'; and it is booked through the season. Thanks

Have you checked Atkinson Realty%26#39;s site? There%26#39;s one they have that allows 20 people. Not sure of the price but you could look at others as well.

I know it%26#39;s hard picking a large house...and with all the comments pro and con about the two big rental companies in VB you just need to read between the lines and make whatever safeguards you need to tighten up a contract.

I%26#39;ll see what else I might come up with. I%26#39;d be excited to see what others get too in the larger homes.

About ';large extended family';. How many do you want for the occupancy restriction? Keeping in mind that that includes children...although probably doesn%26#39;t count babies.

If you haven%26#39;t already, try www.vrbo.com for vacation home rentals. The Va Beach resort strip is mostly hotels with a few condos, the north end of the area is residential and has some rentals. Sandbridge is a beach area about 20-30 min from the resort strip that is residential and has many vacation rentals. Two of the realty companies are Sandbridge and Seibert (I%26#39;ve seen both good and bad posts about each of them, so do some research in the forums). Hope this helps. Enjoy your time in the area.

How about Sandbridge beach?? Its a very urnice beach and very quiet. My family and I go every year and get a house on the beach with a pool. This year we have a house the week of july 4 its a 7 bedroom I believe with a game room and pool. Try going to www.sandbridge.com and look for a house thats who we went through this year (our house is called sisters)anyway there is also siebert realty www.siebertrealty.com I have been to both (they are right next to each other you could walk from one to the other) and have liked them both. I have stayed in clearwater. It a wonderful home. Its about 5,000sq ft. Great pool. Another nice home is Four Seasons.

I have book homes through Seibert and Sandbridge in the past. Sandbridge Beach was really nice and quiet.
