Driving through Richmond

I%26#39;m taking a trip from the Baltimore area to Charleston, SC in March. I%26#39;ll be leaving around 4 a.m., so I%26#39;ll be in the Richmond area around 6:30-7:00, looking for a good place to get breakfast. I%26#39;m trying to find something that isn%26#39;t a chain, so if anybody has a suggestion it%26#39;s greatly appreciated!

Driving through Richmond

You don%26#39;t say what day of the week you%26#39;re travelling so that may make a difference in what places are open that early. Since you probably don%26#39;t want to stray too far from I-95, I recommend you check into River City Diner. They are a chain, but a local one, with 3 restaurants, and they have one just off I-95 at Parham Road, a few miles north of Richmond.

I couldn%26#39;t find any hours on their website, so you may want to contact them to find out what time they open.

I%26#39;ll check it out, thanks!

And if this helps any further, I%26#39;m leaving on a Monday.

I agree with the previous post. River City Diner is a great choice and is just off of I-95. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is like an old-style diner.

If you want to stray a little bit farther off of the interstate, consider Perly%26#39;s Delicatessen (at 111 E Grace St; Richmond, VA 23219; Phone: 804-649-2779). The food is fantastic, it’s a local favorite for breakfast and lunch, and it’s open daily for both.

Hi. I am Lauren. Shoney%26#39;s has a GREAT breakfast buffet. I live in NY and can%26#39;t wait to eat there. I am traveling to Ricmond in April, about 2 weeks. Shoney%26#39;s is a chain in the South.

You can also try Sara%26#39;s Pancake House. That is a chain, but a good one.

Hope this helps, even thought I gave you chains.

I second Perly%26#39;s!
