Charlottesville to BWI Traffic?

Have a 1 pm flight out of BWI on a Thursday. What time should I leave Charlottesville? Looks like with no traffic it is a 3 hour drive. Thanks

That%26#39;s the way I normally go as well.

As always, err on the side of caution %26amp; plan on traffic delays (accidents, construction, etc).

Please don%26#39;t underestimate the traffic in northern Virginia on your way to BWI. It can add a tremendous amount of time to your drive if there%26#39;s road work being done - or God forbid a traffic accident. Although your flight time will be AFTER the morning rush, you should have no problems. If all goes well, I usually allow 3-4 hrs. before my flight ... but better that you plan to have lunch in the airport and arrive earlier than later. Good luck!

I would give yourself NO LESS than 4 hours to get to the airport.

I live in Manassas, and it takes me 2.5 hours to Charlotesville, and if I can get to BWI in less than an hour and a half, then I am LUCKY!
