Camping

Virginia has lots of excellent state parks. When our girls were little, we loved going to Fairy Stone. They iked digging for actual fairy stones. The lake is nice - nice sandy beach, roped off swimming area, lifeguards. Here%26#39;s a link and you can check out all the various parks.

Camping

Wendymath is so right; Va has great state parks and Shenandoah National Park (www.nps.gov/shen). First Landing State Park in Va Beach has wonderful trails, bald cypress trees, nice beach, cabins and tent sites. Look at the state park web site and see which ones interest you. If you have more questions, post again. Happy Trails.

Try the KOA campground in Verona, VA in the Shenendoah Valley. The campgroud has cabins and tent camping, a river with a waterfall runs through it. It has a lake with a beach. Very nice facilities.
