Airport(RIC) to U of Virginia

I need advice on transportation from the Airport to Uof V on Friday morning(9:30). I%26#39;d like to go the ';poor student'; routeLOL.

Any suggestions or recommendations.

Well, if you can get into Charlottesville by train or bus, you can walk to the campus. The Charlottesville airport is 9 or 10 miles away from the campus.

Is there a bus that runs from Richmond Airport(RIC) to Charlottesville. I think the Greyhound runs once a day but it is scheduled before I arrive.

It says, paging down about a quarter, there is no public ground transpotation from RIC to Charlottesville.

I%26#39;ll keep thinking and hopefully someone else will come up with an idea.

Maybe post this on the C-ville forum too in case there are peoople only looking at Charlottesville, not Va.

Check Greyhound again. I think besides the early morning bus, there%26#39;s also a 12:05 PM bus that goes to Charlottesville. In order to get from the airport to the Greyhound station, though, you%26#39;ll need to take a taxi from the airport into Richmond. There%26#39;s no public transportation that will get you between those two places.

It may be too late to put together a rideshare opportunity, but for future reference, a lot of people commute between Richmond %26amp; Charlottesville every day, and it%26#39;s possible you could tag along with a regular commuter if you chip in for gas.

A friend from upstate NY just came to visit me at the end of February. She rented a car at the Richmond airport %26amp; drove to C%26#39;ville. Unfortunately, it%26#39;s not the poor student route, but I think it%26#39;s what most people do...
