Is the Williamsburg Lodge as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be? The location sounds good but I am concerned about how good it is or isn%26#39;t.
Williamsburg lodge, is it really so bad?
My husband and I stayed for 8 nights at the Lodge last summer. Even though our arrival was prior to the scheduled check in time, our room was ready. The check in was quick and the desk clerk was very courteous and helpful.
We were assigned a room in the new Custis Guesthouse. We had no complaints about housekeeping or noise. The prior year we were in the Tazewell section; and, again, no problems.
I realize that others may have experienced problems as may happen anywhere.
I do agree that the flavor and homeyness of the ';old'; Lodge was lost in the new construction. However, we will stay there again on our next visit to CW.
We have not eaten in the restaurant, so cannot address any issues.
Yes, the location is excellent; just a short stroll into the historic area. Or, catch the shuttle right our front.
Enjoy your trip wherever you stay!
