Pet Friendly Hotels in Richmond

Hello. Traveling in one month to Richmond. I know the area well, previousley lived in Wonderful Richmond!

Having a really hard time finding a CLEAN hotel that accepts pets. I had a reservation at Days Inn, but cancelled reading the Trip Advisor reviews.

Does anyone know of any nice hotels where I can bring my dog. And I need no pound limit. Just a nice place that is clean and safe to sleep. Looking around Glenside, West Broad Street area. Near Shoney%26#39;s, TGI Fridays area. OR Brook Road off of Parham off I95.

Thank you so very much.

I%26#39;ve stayed at the Omni downtown and I know they take pets.....I%26#39;ve seen dogs there and based upon the Golden I saw I would say they probably have no weight limit.

Strangley enough my daughter lives in Richmond and is expecting a baby in July......my wife and I will be driving down from Boston for at least a two week stay with our own 70lb Golden and will be looking for dog friendly places ourselves.........let me know what other feedback you get.

Thanks.

Thank you for suggesting the Omni. I will definately look into it. I called the Residence Inn and tbey have rooms that are big, with a fee of $75.00 for the dog, $159.00 each night. The $75.00 is a one time price for the whole stay. I think that is a liite high, but I am running out of choices.

I will definately post hotels that I have looked into and give you feedback. I live in NY and we are traveling down the Shenandoah then onto Route 64 through Charlottesville then to see my son in Richmond. Congrats on your soon to be Grandbaby!!

I again, thank you for your reply to my recent post.

I have this message in Pet Friendly Parks in Richmond, but needed to put in the correct Topic. I hope this info can help others! Getting so excited about our vacation!!

Well, 22Tango, I can help! We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express-Innsbrook on Mayland Drive. They only charge $10.00 per night for the dog. The rates are $99.00 and up. I went on this website: Bringfido.com, which lists pet friendly hotels. The Holiday Inn Express was listed on that website which is a pet friendly hotel, but stated that hotel wasn%26#39;t called yet and they don%26#39;t have the information. When I called the hotel directly, they were very friendly. It took a long time to find a hotel to begin with. A lot of places I called want a $75.00 one time fee for the entire stay plus a high rate. At least here you get FREE Breakfast, which does include eggs, bacon ect. The main reservation number had to email my reservations, as Sadra, I believe that was her name, the woman at the Holiday Inn Express , couldn%26#39;t email me for some reason. Not sure why. She was very nice and accomodated me in my requests. I had my reservations at Days Inn, but when I read the reviews, I cancelled. Trip Advisor is so wonderful. I don%26#39;t plan any trips without checking here first. I am here to help give whatever information I can. I believe it was the Residence Inn on Brook Road that was $159.00 a night with a one time fee of $75.00. That was high for me. When I found the Holiday Inn Express, I looked it up, read the reviews, some were mixed, (but isn%26#39;t that always the case?) and I booked my reservation. So, to all you pet lovers, the Holiday Inn Express sounds good. When I return from my trip, I will definately give my review about this hotel for all of you!!
