tent camping in June: Loft Mountain or Big Meadows

My 2 sons and I are going to SNP in early June. We%26#39;d like a secluded, scenic site and wondered which better fit the bill: Loft Mountain or Big Meadows.

I haven%26#39;t camped in SNP but check out nps.gov/shen/planyourvisit/campgrounds.htm for detailed descriptions. According to the site, Big Meadowns is a bit more secluded than Loft Mtn, but Lewis Mtn is the most secluded and smallest campground. Friends use Loft Mtn and like it alot, they go several times a year. Happy trails.

Question: We had heard you can get some tent sites at Loft Mountain with great views. Are your friends familiar with that? I really appreciate your help.

I%26#39;ll try to catch up with my friends this weekend and ask them about Loft.

Here is an update on Loft Campground from my friend...according to him, all tent sites are nice and scenic, they are located along the AT, also all sites on ';A'; loop are are very nice and scenic. Check out the map on the website I gave you in previous post. He also suggested the Frasier Discovery Trail that begins in the campground, nice trail with informational markers (I%26#39;ll hike it next time too). Happy trails.
