I am going to a concert at the Nissan Pavilion in August, I was wondering are there cabs there to take people back to their hotels? or can I call one to come pick me up?
Nissan Pavilion
They only offer driving information on their website. Have you emailed them to ask if there%26#39;s a taxi line after shows?
Wouldn%26#39;t recommend relying on calling a cab, with aftershow traffic, I think I remember the police reversing inbound lanes to the Pavilion to aid in clearing out the congestion. If my memory is correct, then a cab would not be able to come in to get you. I also tried to find info on public transportation to/from shows and had no luck. I would also ask mgmt about possible shuttle buses when you email them. Or ask your hotel if they offer something.
Otherwise, you%26#39;re left with renting a car and driving. You can get some pretty cheap rental car deals on Priceline.
Nissan Pavilion
Well, I will be driving my car from SC to VA, I was just hoping I wouldn%26#39;t have to try to get out of that traffic, I know how tough it can be.
Yeah, you are probably stuck. Nissan is a mess after concerts, and it was outrageous that they were allowed to build that facility and not adequately upgrade Wellington road.
I don%26#39;t see how a cab could get in there to pick you up-let alone find you. They may have cabs there waiting though-to discourage people from drinking and driving. I would call them. Regardless, you are going to be stuck in the cab trying to leave just the same as you would in your car.
A lot of people I know who have been just hang out and chill after the concert and just let traffic clear out for an hour or so.
That%26#39;s pretty much what we do. We figure we%26#39;re either a) spending an hour in traffic going nowhere getting stressed or b) spending an hour sitting in the car chilling out before trying to get out.
I went to a concert at the Nisson Pavilion last summer. We paid for the VIP (or whatever they call it) parking and it was a dream.
We were in seats quite near the front so had quite a number of people ahead of us at the end of the concert. Despite that we got back to the car and from getting in the car to leaving the venue was just a few minutes. Well worth the $15 or $20.
Thanks for the tip! I wasn%26#39;t sure if they did that, I know the Verizon Wireless Ampitheare in Charlotte does.
