Beach rules

Need some help, we are thinking about a visit in July and my son loves to skimboard. Wondering if there are any restrictions about where and when he can do this. Last year we visited Myrtle Beach and he was only allowed after the lifeguards left, otherwise he had a long walk down the beach where there were no guard posts. Now we know enough to ask. Any help is appreciated.

I am not sure what, if any, restrictions there are for skimboarding. Here is how you can find out; email the Va Beach Lifeguarding Service at vbls@yahoo.com they enforce all beach rules and will know the answer. Also, the website www.skimonline.com/skim_spots/virginia.htm provides information on the best places in Va Beach for skimboarding. Enjoy the beach.

Now you%26#39;re making me think. In my experience, I%26#39;ve never seen any restrictions on skimboarding. Surfing yes.
